The student will master the research techniques and methodology appropriate to the research object. The student will apply properly different sources of information, being capable of critically analyze use the available information. The student will design and propose theories, concepts, norms or public policies relevant for the improvement in their field of research. 1. Basic skills: - Apply the knowledge gained and the ability to confront new problems in contexts related to this field of study. - Integrate knowledge and face complexity to formulate assessments form limited information - Communicate conclusions and the reasons that justify them to skilled and non skilled audiences. - Incorporate learning skills to continue the process of learning in an autonomous way. 2. General skills - Use of specialized techniques to handle legal and doctrinal instruments to solve theoretical and practical issues. - Ability to look for, process and analyze relevant information form different sources - Ability to learn, actualize and complete knowledge - Dominate methods and techniques of legal research - Adaptation to new situations with continuous and autonomous learning. - Ability to apply mechanisms to deal with complex legal and social issues related to human rights form a multidisciplinary approach. - Acquisition of attitudes of permanent inquiry, leading to identify and use relevant specialized sources of information. 3. Specific skills - Identify and analyze the economic and social implications in the development of rights and liberties. - Elaborate well constructed hypothesis that can be verified in order to improve the understanding of human rights related fields. - Justify alternative developments in the theory of human rights - Propose and incorporate new approaches to human rights.

Elaboration of an original thesis. This thesis will be the result of the use of research techniques, methodical orientation, acquired knowledge, and handle, organization and critique of different sources. The subject of investigation is defined by the student, under the orientation of a supervisor. This thesis is independent form previous research.

The Master's thesis will be an original research project with a minimum length of 100 pages and a maximum length of 150 pages. The work may be a general reflection by the student on the question of the importance of human rights or it may develop a specific topic from one of the programmes he/she has studied. The choice between the options will be made in agreement with your tutor, who will regularly supervise your work.
