Learning Outcomes
K1: Evaluates the information obtained using a critical sense and establishes working hypotheses. K2: It gathers knowledge in various aspects necessary for the development of professional activities. K20: Describes the most frequent alterations in the structure and function of the cardiovascular system and identifies the relevant genetic and metabolic alterations in the development of tumours. K24: It analyses the interaction between the immune system and pathogenic micro-organisms in the development of infectious diseases. K44: Learn about recent advances in advanced therapies and innovative medicines, as well as the safety regulations arising from their use. K29: Describes the bases of the different oncological processes, their manifestations, diagnosis and therapeutic approaches. K42: Knows the different manifestations of oncological processes and the different therapeutic approaches. S1: It uses different techniques to find, manage and integrate available digital information. S2: Prepares reports to effectively communicate project knowledge, objectives and results to specialised and non-specialised audiences. S11: Develops work skills and interpersonal relations in a work environment, using information and communication tools and techniques for data analysis and the elaboration of oral and written reports, public presentations and other training and professional activities. Diagnosis of oncological diseases. Biomarkers. Genomic platforms. Dissemination patterns. Staging. 4. Principles of cancer treatment. Concept of radical/palliative treatment. Multidisciplinary treatment. 5. Principles of chemotherapy. Pharmacological and pharmacodynamic basis. Main agents and mechanisms of action. Acute and chronic adverse effects. 6. Principles of endocrine therapy in cancer. Fundamentals and drug groups. 7. Principles of immunological treatment. Fundamentals of immunotherapy. 8. Treatment with surgery. 9. Treatment with radiotherapy. 10. Combined treatments. General principles. 11. Psychosocial aspects and rehabilitation of neoplastic patients
