Requirements (Subjects that are assumed to be known)
Be enrolled in the MASTER'S DEGREE IN CIRCULAR ENGINEERING at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid in the current course in which the Final Master's Project will be developed.
Objectives
The general objectives of the MFP are: - Apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the master's program in an experimental or theoretical research project. - Contribute to knowledge in a specific area related to the contents of the master. - Present an original and relevant research project in the field. - Develop research skills, data collection, bibliographic review and analysis. - Develop both oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present and defend research results with scientific rigor, being able to write a scientific manuscript clearly and concisely. In summary, the objectives of the MFP are for the student to demonstrate their ability to carry out original and relevant research, apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the master's degree, and develop research, analysis, and oral and written communication skills. In the TFM, the student must demonstrate the ability to perform original research, apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the master's degree, and develop research and analytical skills, as well as oral and written communication abilities.
Skills and learning outcomes
Description of contents: programme
The MASTER'S FINAL PROJECT (MFP) is organized around any topic involving practically or theoretically circular engineering. It must be an original work carried out individually, with the presentation of a document and defended at a university court. A list of job proposals will be published annually to the students who can attend them, and guidance and follow-up will be provided. The tasks included in the MFP include: - Presentation and approval of work topics - Compilation and analysis of information related to the Final Master's Project - Development and execution of the experimental and/or theoretical Master's Final Project, fulfilling the hours that correspond to the 6 ECTS - Preparation of the report following the instructions for its preparation and Defense of the Master's Thesis The university professors will propose and suggest master's degree projects and act as student tutors.
Learning activities and methodology
FORMATION ACTIVITIES: - Tutorials - Individual student work TEACHING METHODOLOGIES: - Critical reading by the student of texts and scientific publications recommended by the teacher/tutor - Obtaining experimental/theoretical results in the laboratory. Management and use of equipment research equipment and techniques, under the guidance of the professor - Preparation of work and reports individually or in groups TUTOR: In the event that the director of the MFP is not a professor in one of the departments of the uc3m involved in teaching the Master's, a professor who meets this condition will act as a tutor to guide the student.
