Skills and learning outcomes
Description of contents: programme
Block 1: Principles of the Circular Economy (Sustainability, SDG, Green Chemistry, Biomimicry, Life Cycle) Block 2: Management and treatment of liquid effluents (main types of liquid waste treatment, techniques and infrastructures, reuse of water as a natural resource and circularity, Water Footprint of products in the industry, Zero Liquid Discharge) Block 3: Management and treatment of gaseous effluents (main types of gaseous waste treatment, techniques and infrastructures, Carbon Footprint, decarbonisation, industry adaptation to reduce CO2 emissions).
Learning activities and methodology
The teaching methodology will include: 1. Theory classes with resolution of exercises and practical cases. The knowledge that students must acquire will be presented. To facilitate their development, students will receive class notes and will have basic reference texts that allow them to complete and deepen those topics in which they are most interested. The resolution of exercises by the student that will serve to assess their knowledge and acquire the necessary skills. Implementation of the answers to the exercises and correction joint should serve to strengthen skills and develop the capacity to analyze and communicate the relevant information to solve problems. Also the implementation in common will facilitate exchange of views critical to both between teacher and students and among students. 2. Lectures with practical cases related to the content of the subject.
