Description of contents: programme
The course is programmed so that the students know in depth the main sacred texts of the three great monotheistic religions (Jewish Bible, Talmud, Christian Bible and Koran), which constitute the most significant part of the religions that will be studied in the Master. The knowledge and the critical apparatus necessary to interpret and evaluate each of these texts will be provided: character of the texts, genesis, historical context, authorship. The reading of some of the key texts of Anthropology and Sociology of Religions, as well as key themes in the comparative history of religions, will also be addressed.
Learning activities and methodology
Learning activities: Theoretical classes: master classes in which the key concepts of the subjects offered in the master will be presented. In spite of this character, these lessons will be already, and whenever possible, oriented to introduce the cases that will be studied in the practical classes. 15 hours, 100% face-to-face. Practical classes: application of theoretical content to the analysis of specific problems. They include presentations, seminars, debates, case studies and problem solving that involve an analysis of the contents developed in the theoretical sessions. 7.5 hours, 100% face-to-face. Activities through the virtual classroom: non-presential activities through the virtual classroom. These activities may consist of readings, discussion in forums and/or practical exercises: 3 hours, 0% presence. Tutorials: voluntary and arranged meetings between the teacher and the students, individually or in small groups, to direct their learning in a personalized way. Online tutoring will also be offered through the Virtual Classroom: 7.5 hours, 100% face-to-face. Autonomous activities: preparation of papers (previous studies, readings and documentation work), carrying out activities (problem solving, case studies) recommended by the teacher and use of the Virtual Classroom. 42 hours. 0% face-to-face. Methodology: Masterclass: verbal exposition by the teacher of the contents of the subject of study. This presentation may be supported by the use of audiovisual material. Resolution of exercises and problems: as a complement to the masterclass and as a logical derivation of it, questions will be raised where the students will develop and interpret appropriate solutions based on the application of formulas and/or procedures. Learning based on problems: from a problem designed by the corresponding teacher, the students must find the solution that allows them to acquire the competences. previously defined.
