Objectives
The objective of the subject is to provide students with knowledge and understanding that will provide a basis or opportunity to be original in the development and / or application of ideas, often in a research context. The researcher, for the proper acquisition of knowledge about the subject of his study, must know how to identify and focus the topics and for this he must follow a rigorous procedure, formulated in a logical manner. The research method aims precisely to facilitate this logical path that the researcher has to follow in the search for his final conclusions about his study. It refers to the procedures that can be followed in order to demonstrate a hypothesis, fulfill a series of objectives or give a concrete answer to a previously selected problem, starting by defining the starting point. If the researcher starts from concrete situations and wishes to find information about them in order to analyze them within a general theoretical framework, he will use an inductive method. If, on the other hand, he starts from general situations, explained in a general theoretical framework, and the object of his research is to apply them to a concrete reality, he will be opting for a deductive method. The important thing is to be clear about where the knowledge comes from and where you want to get to, selecting the research method according to the problem or the subject raised, and once this subject has been taken, the student will have acquired the necessary resources and skills to be able to adequately develop this task.
