Objectives
Competences - Ability to apply acquired knowledge to problem solving in new or less known environments related to their area of expertise - Ability to communicate to specialized and non specialized public - Ability to cope in a real work environment - Ability to involve in continuous education and independent learning - Ability to understand and apply methods and development technologies in the scope of computer science to the financial sector - Writing ability, ability to produce a technical report - Understand main concepts associated to financial markets - Analize and evaluate information and communication technologies applied to the financial sector - Ability to develop financial software -Ability to implement classic algorithms in the financial markets sector following appropriate standards and procedures -Analyze and understand the key tools for the management of large data volumes, their storage, access and processing
Skills and learning outcomes
Description of contents: programme
180 hour internship at a company, under the supervision of a staff member (tutor en la empresa / company supervisor) and an academic tutor at the university The job must be directly related to the master key contents, at least to one of the three main topics: Technologies applied to the financial markets, financial software development and Decision Support Systems in the financial sector
Learning activities and methodology
150 hours of practice under the supervision of the company supervisor Tutorships with the academic tutor according to the needs, either face-to-face or remote 30 hours for preparing the final report Prepare an internship plan to be delivered at the beginning of the internship Prepare a final report
Assessment System
Report describing the internship 70% Evaluation report from the company supervisor 20% Evaluation form the academic supervisor 10% See the assessment matrix more details
