Objectives
The development of this subject will enable the student to acquire, in addition to basic and general competences, the following competences and learning outcomes: -The students are able to communicate their conclusions and the latest knowledge and reasons that support them to specialized and non-specialized audiences in a clear and unambiguous way -The students have the learning skills that allow them to continue studying in a way that will be largely self-directed or autonomous. -Develop knowledge to advise legally on the different points of view in the field of data protection. - Knowing to identify conflicts of interest and to know the techniques that are applied for the resolution of the problems raised in the matter of data protection. -Know and evaluate the different legal issues raised in the area of ¿¿data protection and identify the responsibilities of data protection subjects. -Differentiate the different competencies attributed by regulatory bodies - Knowing to develop works that allow to acquire to the student the capacity to integrate diverse contributions towards a common objective in relation to a specific subject in matter of data protection (In particular case-law) - Ability to use public information and applications provided by public websites - Ability to identify problems and offer solutions to the issues raised - To have and understand knowledge that provides a basis or opportunity to be original in the development and / or application of ideas, often in a research context - That students be able to integrate knowledge and face the complexity of making judgments from information that, incomplete or limited, include reflections on social and ethical responsibilities linked to the application of their knowledge and judgments - That the students know how to communicate their conclusions - and the last knowledge and reasons that sustain them - to specialized and non-specialized audiences in a clear and unambiguous way -The students have the learning skills that allow them to continue studying in a way that will be largely self-directed or autonomous -Recognize the importance of communicating effectively within the framework of professional activity for the achievement of personal and corporate goals. -Evaluate the development of personal and collective action, identifying successes and mistakes and arguing and proposing alternative solutions to improve processes and results -To integrate knowledge, to make judgments and to communicate their conclusions, and the last knowledge and reasons that support them, to specialized and non-specialized audiences. -Integrate the specialized knowledge to face the problems of the sector from an integral perspective - Knowing to develop interpersonal skills and abilities that facilitate the exercise of the activity in its relations with the citizens, with other professionals and with the institutions -To know how to present oral and written facts, and to extract juridical consequences, in terms of the context and the target audience to which they are directed To possess, to understand and to develop abilities that allow to apply the specialized academic knowledge acquired in the master to the changing reality -To be able to train people in the fields of data protection -Develop guides or documents necessary for the training of people or for the development of activities in specific areas of action where data protection issues may appear. Elaborate reports, opinions, formalities and administrative claims or lawsuits to develop professional activity in legal dispatches, companies or bodies, public or private in the field of data protection -To carry out, at its level, a report on the legal problems detected and their possible solutions, as well as to propose the adoption of preventive or urgent and immediate measures to avoid the imposition of sanctions. - Plan and develop, at its level, information and training plans for workers, which will enable the adoption of control measures and corrective measures to avoid or reduce non-compliance with regulations -To know how to present oral and written facts, and to extract juridical consequences, in terms of the context and the target audience to which they are directed - To be able to train people in the areas of data protection and to develop guides or documents necessary for this purpose. - Plan and develop, at its level, information and training plans for workers, which will enable the adoption of control measures and corrective measures to avoid or reduce non-compliance with regulations
Description of contents: programme
IV Personal work on regulation of data protection and information security (3ECTS) Subjects: The final work consists of a report or the resolution of practical cases carried out individually or in groups on a current topic previously assigned by the teacher related to the data protection sector. The work must be submitted in writing on the day scheduled for your exhibition. Both in the elaboration as in the exhibition in class of the work must participate all the members of the equipment that can be asked indistintamente on its content. The report will consist of the elaboration of a Guide containing a legal analysis of an issue of the sector and in which they must explain to the rest of the class indicating at least: a) Topic of the guide; B) identify their legal status; C) diagnose their implications and problematic aspects; D) to propose solutions, recommendations or opinions on what has been described The work is exposed and publicly defended
Learning activities and methodology
TRAINING ACTIVITY Students should prepare, applying all the knowledge acquired in the three previously taught subjects related to data protection, a Personal Work on regulation of data protection and information security. The students will have a list of topics on which they must develop the work well in advance by the teacher who will be hung in AULA GLOBAL. In all cases, they will have a writing where they will detail the main aspects for the correct elaboration of the works. The students will also have the support of those teachers who will teach the subjects to be developed TEACHING METHODOLOGIES The methodology that will be followed in this subject will be the following: Students will be given a subject in sufficient time in advance so that individually or in groups they may proceed to develop, always with the teacher's tutoring, a guide on a subject in data protection. The students will be sent a list of existing guides to understand the purpose of the same, its structure, foundation, etc. Students must prepare a guide that allows the selected sector to develop its activity with full respect for the current legality, resolutions of the AEPD or autonomic and jurisprudence. Exposition and discussion in class, under the moderation of the teacher, of the guide elaborated with questions and approaches related to the content of the exposed subject. TUTORIALS: Students will have access to tutorials with the person responsible for the coordination of the subject throughout the Data Protection module. They will meet in sessions with the coordinator of the subject to solve the doubts and delimit the content of the work.
