Objectives

Learning outcomes The student will be able to: - Recognize the documentary modes that are developing online - Identify the main traits of transmedia documentary storytelling - Understand the changes driven by the Internet in funding, distribution and consumption. - Analyze critically transmedia narratives.

Description of contents: programme

1. Introduction to interactive filmmaking 2. Immersive tools I: narratives and storylines. 3. Immersive tools II: interactive audio and pictures. 4. Immersive tools III: publishing. 5. Structure of interactive projects 6. Interactive online videos: visual language, distributing and consuming. 7. Multimedia script. 8. Interactive projects: development & management. All the themes of the course will be illustrated through case studies. It will be analyzed : - Current trends of documentary story - New documentary formats ( webdocumentary) - Genres Hybridization - Transmedia Documentary

LEARNING ACTIVITIES - Lectures - Practical courses - Team work - Individual work - Seminars and workshops (invited faculty / professionals) METHODOLOGY - Lectures - Analysis and discussion of papers / transmedia projects. - Presentation and discussion of individual and group projects developed by the students.

Calendar of Continuous assessment

The final work will consist of a webdoc project that will be developed with the partial exercises that the professors will be requesting. 
The objective of the practicals is to explore tools that give a new dimension to the linear documentary project and to learn to provide an interactive view to linear stories.
