Prior knowledge is not needed aside from the Master¿s Degree general requirements (in accordance with the UNED requirements and current legislation).
Objectives
1. The student understands as ownership of religious property raises specific legal debates. 2. The student will know the dual conception of religious cultural assets: as goods for worship and as assets to contribute to the fulfillment of the right to culture of citizens. 3. The student will be able to understand the different legislative and judicial powers to different authorities on religious property. 4. The student will know the rules of origin practice, agreed between the civil and ecclesiastical authorities, in order to try to harmonize the different interests to protect 5. The student will know the state of the art in research and methodological procedures in the field and discover needs, challenges and issues for future research
Description of contents: programme
The religious cultural heritage. Preliminary concepts. International protection of religious heritage. The legal regime designed by the Spanish system: The Spanish Constitution. Early reporting system-state relations religious confessions. State regulation of the cultural property of religious interest. Agreements between the Spanish State and religious confessions. The agreement with the Holy See and its practical development. The cooperation agreements with the Evangelical, Jewish and Muslim faiths. The Spanish Historical Heritage Act 1985. The autonomic regulation of cultural property of religious interest.
Learning activities and methodology
The Master is developed according to the methodology of distance learning, using for this purpose platforms and experiences of the UNED. Distance learning methodology that combines the use of virtual campus, virtual tutorial and videoconferences when possible. Students are in contact with the Master¿s Coordinators through newsletters, telephone and e-mail.
