Objectives
The aim is to familiarize the student with different theories on culture: - Origins of the contemporary culture after the crisis of modernity - Contradictions and consequences of culture in fields as: -Culture and politics -Multiculturalism, cultural nationalism and politics of identity The main capacities are: - To follow abstract argumentations concerning cultural phenomena - To read theoretical texts about the topic - To attain a high capacity of verbal and written expression about complex questions referred to cultural worlds - To link the contents of the matter with other learned topics.
