Requirements (Subjects that are assumed to be known)
They may only enroll in the Final Year students who enroll all outstanding issues for the completion of their studies. They may only be present and defend the TFG students who have passed all subjects who are qualified in their academic record. In the event that the TFG is presented in a period in which the minutes of a call have not been closed , it is also necessary to have no more than thirty credits, including the TFG , earrings qualify. Students who have enrolled the TFG and did not meet this requirement at the end of the academic year , waive the notice and shall proceed with the presentation and defense of the TFG in the next academic year .
Objectives
The University policy states that the Final Degree Work must verify the acquisition by students of the following skills: GENERAL 1. Ability to integrate and synthesize the training throughout the Degree. 2. Capacity for analysis and synthesis. 3. Ability to organize and plan. 4. Capacity for abstraction and deduction. 5. Ability to generate new ideas (creativity). 6. critical attitude towards current knowledge. 7. Concern for quality and good work. 8. Concern about the impact of professional activity regarding its impact on the social, economic and environmental areas. 9. civic, moral and ethical commitment. 10. Application of knowledge to different situations and in different settings. 11. Use of new technologies for searching for information and documentation and statistical data. 12. Choosing the right conceptual framework for the resolution of a problem. 13. Implementation of quantitative and qualitative methods appropriate to the data available or familiarity for obtaining data through field work. 14. Language proficiency and discipline in their use for a proper exercise of oral and written communication. 15. Willingness to individual completion of a project. SPECIFIC DOUBLE DEGREE IN JOURNALISM AND HUMANITIES - Acquisition of essential knowledge of the various fields of the humanities: History, Art, Philosophy, Literature, Spanish Language, Language, Geography and Culture Classic. - Acquisition of various methods of analysis, research and thinking related to the humanities studied. - Ability to produce knowledge, both in the humanities subjects such as from an interdisciplinary perspective.
Skills and learning outcomes

Work Final Project (TFG), according to University policy is another subject in the curriculum (6 credits). It is implementation of a single character work in which the student applies to a specific problem in the field of qualifications, knowledge, skills and competencies they have acquired during their studies. The work involves defining a topic, search literature, conduct original research, write and present the results orally in court. The content of the TFG in the Degree of Humanities can be very diverse: - Works of scientific content, technical, humanistic or artistic - Projects of cultural dissemination activities and organization of scientific or artistic nature - Analysis and resolution of real case studies in the field of qualification - Literature review and description of the situation and the state of the art in a particular subject In the Degree in Journalism and Humanities, the TFG is offered in two possible ways: a) General: The Academic Director of the degree determined according to the departments who teach in the degree one or more themes to be made as work order degree in each academic year, students organized in groups of 20 students for guidance and protection activities. b) Specific: it is a specific topic work to be performed by a single student under the direction of a professor of the University. If done in a different institution to Carlos III University of Madrid, the direction of TFG may be held by a foreign university graduates to college, but must have a tutor assigned to the UC3M. Besides the possibility that students are proposing the theme of work, as long as a teacher agrees to be the tutor for the subject it is supported.
Learning activities and methodology
The training activities of Final Project included in the general form : - General orientation sessions , taught in the classroom to the whole group ( three annual sessions) - Individual counseling sessions ( with prior appointment by email coordinator and the tutor / to the TFG ) - Face and online tutorials for drawing of the Final Grade
Assessment System
Presentation of Final Project and its defense : 100 % of the overall mark . Prior to the defense of the TFG , the teacher responsible for the group will draft a report to be considered by the court for the final grade . It will be collected , among others, the development aspects of the work can not be valued in the written work or in the act of defense. The presentation and defense of the TFG will be made by each student before the Court , which may raise questions which it considers necessary for evaluation. The Tribunal shall prepare a record of individual rating for each student in the subject of the TFG , the level of acquisition of each of the powers in accordance with the evaluation matrix established by the Centre and the overall grade obtained by the student will be specified . The University uses the Turnitin Feedback Studio program within the Aula Global for the delivery of student work. This program compares the originality of the work delivered by each student with millions of electronic resources and detects those parts of the text that are copied and pasted. If the student has correctly made the appointment and the bibliographic reference of the documents he uses as a source, Turnitin will not mark it as plagiarism.
