Completion of first year of the Master in Industrial Economics and Markets. Director's favorable report on the adequacy of the internship to the learning skills of the Master.
Objectives
Students develop skills in: Communication of complex economic arguments, both written and oral. Communication of findings and the body of knowledge and rationality that support, specialists and non-specialists in a clear and unambiguous manner. Effective use of telecommunications technologies and in particular, the Internet, word processing, spreadsheets, databases and statistical packages. Identification, selection and access to various sources of information, both paper and electronic or other media. Ability to integrate knowledge, handle complex issues and formulate judgments with incomplete or limited information, including knowledge reflecting on social and ethical responsibilities linked to the application of their knowledge and judgment. Show knowledge and understanding of the ethical and legal issues associated with social science research. Developing the skills demanded in a researcher in industrial organization or counselor who participates in a government department, foundation or company. Acquiring skills enough to continue studying in a autonomously way. Ability to make informed judgments about the design and the effects of economic policies in the field of industrial economy in different sectors. Extensive knowledge of the main sources of information and economic data.
Skills and learning outcomes
Learning activities and methodology
Practical work with supervision: 180 hours. Development of a plan of tasks and objectives set by the academic tutor of the student, and the internship's responsible (IR) at the host entity or principal investigator (PI) if the practice is on a research project. Monitoring progress, adaptation and quality of the work by the internship responsible on the host entity or PI, and presentation of a midterm and final report by the student and the IR or PI, on the degree of achievement of objectives and behavior.
Assessment System
Evaluation by the academic tutor, based on: -Final report presented by the student. -Final report of the tutor on the institution where the internship had place, or the principal investigator of the project.
