This course is proposed as a general introduction to gender studies, from a philosophical point of view. The category "gender" has been answered initially from feminism; but from queer theory, and the growing interest in masculinities, it has become a category that deserves to be analyzed in other contexts and from other additional perspectives. In essence, the course will try to analyze, and perhaps deconstruct, some ideas around the opposition sex / gender, as the foundation of a whole series of versions of the sexes and the life forms derived from them.
