Sociological theory subjects from previous courses, in particular the subject of Great Streams in the Development of Sociological Theory and Classical Sociological Theory.
Objectives
Knowledge of the main developments in contemporary sociological theory, including the identification of key authors and theoretical trends that have made significant contributions to its evolution. As a result of this learning process, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the most important transformations in contemporary sociological thought.

Learning activities and methodology
In line with the structure of the course, the assessment is divided into two distinct components. The theoretical component is evaluated through a final exercise, which accounts for 40% of the final grade. The remaining 60% corresponds to the practical component, which includes individual assignments related to each topic, as well as a group project developed throughout the semester and presented at the end of the course.
