Objectives
To identify historical processes The ability to analyze historical processes from the relationship between the causes and consequences of the phenomena. To explain historical processes and fundamentally the origins of parliamentarism. To read in a political issues contemporary political processes.
Skills and learning outcomes
Description of contents: programme
1. The political processes: revolution, reform, coup d'état, war and reaction. 2. The English Revolution: origins of contemporary parliamentarism. 3. The North American revolution: republic and federalism. 4. The French Revolution: nation of citizens. 5. The Spanish Revolution: the Constitution of 1812. 5. Borders, commune and wars: Europe: 1815-1914. 6. The Russian revolutions: Duma and soviets.
Learning activities and methodology
Comment of specific readings. Oral group demonstrations. Test of concepts. Individual oral demonstrations. Demonstrations of the topics by the teacher. The students prepare in group 3 of the topics on the basis of what was explained by the teacher in topics 1,2 and 3. Collective tutorials during the month of March before the demonstratios (April).
