Objectives
The aim is to help students understanding the historical dimension of the political and electoral processes, with particular emphasis on the revolutionary processes that lead to representative systems and regime change. In this connection it will seek students: a) To acquire an overview of the origin of representative systems and socialist systems and processes of continuity, change and political reform. b) To use conceptual tools needed to analyze the power and political changes from a historical and political perspective. c) To Identify and define revolutionary periods by political science perspective.

Learning activities and methodology
Teaching time is distributed according to the following training activities: - Lectures. It includes case studies that illustrate lectures. - Written exercises on basic reading program - Other training: specific work on a film; book test; structured discussions, etc..
