Objectives
Understanding, in a multidisciplinary and critical way, current history, ranging from the last third of the twentieth century to the present time. Acquisition of intellectual tools to analyze present as an historical time Handling of the sources for the study of history in progress
Description of contents: programme
1- Globalization. Concept and characteristics. 2- Political and Legal Globalization. The role of supranational organizations with political powers. 3- Geopolitics and political Realism in a Global World: New international relationships and new types of international conflicts. 4- Economic Globalization: Neoliberalism. Trade Globalization. Financial Globalization. 5- Cultural Globalization. 6- Techno-scientific Globalization. 7- The World Risk Society. Economic risks, armed conflicts, global terrorism, international crime, environmental risks, health risks, scientists and technological risks, natural disasters. 8- The Global Civil Society. 9- Looking at future in a Global World
Learning activities and methodology
The methodology used will be being directed by the teacher, as well as the student's active participation in class. There will be one tutoring hour per week.
