Requirements (Subjects that are assumed to be known)
1. Have 110 credits passed in the ordinary call of the 1st semester. 2. have passed the optional subject External Practices. 3. Having overcome pending the least the same number of optional credits consisting of the subject, ie not having overcome all optatividad of your grade.
By the end of this subject, students will be able to have: 1. awareness of the wider multidisciplinary context of engineering. 2. the ability to apply their knowledge and understanding to identify, formulate and solve engineering problems using established methods; 3. the ability to conduct searches of literature, and to use data bases and other sources of information; 4. the ability to select and use appropriate equipment, tools and methods; 5. the ability to combine theory and practice to solve engineering problems; 6. an awareness of the non-technical implications of engineering practice. 7. function effectively as an individual and as a member of a team; 8. use diverse methods to communicate effectively with the engineering community and with society at large; 9. recognise the need for, and have the ability to engage in independent, life-long learning.
Description of contents: programme
1.- Company integration. 2.- Written and spoken presentation of the intership report. 3.- Demonstration of the system developed along the internship.
Learning activities and methodology
Internship Work: To develop instrumental competences and many generic ones, as cooperative work team, capacity to apply Engineering concepts to the company work, work planning and organization, and analysis and sinthesis of information. Moreover, the external internship is conceived to develop attitudinal competences. The internship consists of a company stay to make a real-world project in dependence of a professional company advisor. Evaluation: The student must write a report of the internship and make an oral presentation to show the work developed in the company to prove that the internship goals have been fullfilled, and the competences to be adquired have been correctly acquired.
Assessment System
The evaluation include the assestment of all the activities developed along the internship in the company. The following will be required to make the evaluation: - Report of the company advisor. - Report of the work developed along the internship. A 100% score be achieve with both elements, being very relevant the report of the company advisor. A rubric will be used to evaluate the global results of the student.
