The goal of this subject is to allow the student to complete its formation with a period of external intership in a company. External internships reinforces the formation of the students and provides an aditional laboral formation with singular value for their professional career.
Competences (PO: a, c, d, f, g, h, i, k):
1.- To know corporative work methods, and the major tools used to support the work of an Informatics engineer in a company. 2.- To provide solutions to a problem that are well adjusted to the company environment, respectfull with the current normative, and legal and environmentally sensitive. 3.- Capacity to make cooperative work, taking the roles required by the project leader and being a responsible member of a work team, but at the same time having initiative. 4.- To effectively commnunicate the knoledge related to ICT in the company. 5.- To be able of learning in an autonomous way new concepts and technics to create, develop, and exploit computer systems. 6.- To use professional computer tools in the company. 7.- To differentiate and evaluate professional computer tools used in the market.
Learning Outcomes (PO: a, c, d, f, g, h, i, k): 1.- To know and use professional computer tools in the company. 2.- To effectively commnunicate the knoledge related to ICT in the company using a professional terminology. 3.- To know and to integrate in a professional work team, making tasks efficiently, coordinated, and adjusted to the required needs. 4.- To learn professional and corporative work methods.
Description of contents: programme
EXTERNAL INTERNSHIP 1.- Company integration. 2.- Written and spoken presentation of the intership report. 3.- Demonstration of the system developed along the internship.
Learning activities and methodology
Internship Work 4 ECTS (PO: a, c, d, f, g, h, i, k). To develop instrumental competences and many generic ones, as cooperative work team, capacity to apply Infomatics concepts to the company work, work planning and organization, and analysis and synthesis of information. Moreover, the external internship is conceived to develop attitudinal competences. The internship consists of a company stay to make a real-world project in dependence of a professional company advisor. Competences: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. Evaluation: 1 ECTS. The student must write a report of the internship and make an oral presentation to show the work developed in the company to prove that the internship goals have been fullfilled, and the competences to be acquired have been correctly acquired. Assessment System
(PO: a, c, d, f, g, h, i, k) The evaluation include the assestment of all the activities developed along the internship in the company. The following will be required to make the evaluation: - Report of the company advisor. - Report of the work developed along the internship. A 100% score be achieve with both elements, being very relevant the report of the company advisor. A rubric will be used to evaluate the global results of the student.
