To face the program of this subject, review general knowledge of the historical context is recommended: from 1945 to current times

The fundamental objective of the course is the student to acquire knowledge and skills that enable him/her to analyze the most recent past from the perspective of the History of the Present World (1945-). If we focus on specific objectives, the student, after taking this subject: 1. Will know the historical context after the end of World War II from the political, economic, social and cultural point of view. 2. Will acquire a deep and complex vision of the current problems and those that are going to appear in the near future. 3. Will handle one of the most interesting sources of memory for the study of History: technical or reproduced images 4. Will have a transdisciplinary vision of History.

K4: To know the historical development of the main manifestations of universal culture, as well as their interrelations, in their various contexts S10: Formulate complex, well-founded and persuasive critical reasoning, and know how to defend it orally and in writing, on humanistic matters

Students will attend two types of classes. In the first place, the master classes in which they will reflect on the theoretical possibilities of history within the framework of the History of the Current World. Secondly, the practices, in which students will be able to approach historical events from the study of historical sources. These practical exercises will be supervised by the teacher and guided with specific teaching materials and a selection of support texts and documentaries.
