Objectives
1. Define and relate the concepts, sources, methods and state of the own of Cultural History. 2. Know the main lines of work and image analysis as a form of cultural representation. 3. Know the main lines of work and analysis of literacy as a form of cultural representation. 4. Know the main lines of work and analysis of the technologies at the present time as forms of cultural representation. 5. Define the relationship between social structures and culture and its manifestations in history. 6. Identify common problems throughout history in the relationship between culture, representation, and technology. 7. Using Fonts and resources relevant to the study of such problems. 8. Determine a pattern of responses "cultural" to those questions. 9. Reload such issues and assess the implications of what they learn to the current transformations in the creation and cultural representation.
Skills and learning outcomes
Description of contents: programme
Offering a privileged and transdisciplinary perspective from which to contemplate many of the current transformations of our information society through a historical journey to try to understand. Hence, this course will focus on the historical development of some forms of cultural representation and technologies from a cultural standpoint. They provide analysis and study models from Antiquity to the Present Time: - Introduction to Cultural History - Culture, image and Classical World - Books, reading and writing of the manuscript to the printer - Culture, society and technology in the Present Time
Learning activities and methodology
Acquisition of knowledge and skills (4 ECTS) through lectures, teaching materials developed by teachers -dossiers with outlines, recommended readings, texts and documents, power point presentations for each teaching unit, network documentation-, required specialized reading and through personal work study students face and online tutoring. Some visit -exhibitions, file ... - seminar or conference and complete this content.   The theoretical knowledge are related to studies on the documentation provided with the skills and abilities in integrated education. It is related to competencies 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. Acquisition of skills and abilities (2 ECTS) through text comments, the case analysis and discussion of readings and a critical memory compulsory individually. It relates to the competencies 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9.
