Knowledge of the cultural foundations of Europe through the study of Greco-Roman civilization in their literary and artistic expressions, as well as the projection of political and religious thought of antiquity in later history.
Description of contents: programme
Analysis literary and historiographical production of antiquity and its transmission. Analysis of classical thought and its materialization in science, philosophy, politics and social reality. Analysis of the mythological production and development of the religiosity. Reception of the classical legacy in European culture.
Learning activities and methodology
Theory (4ECTS). Practical classes (reading and commenting on proposed texts, analysis and interpretation of visual culture, with development of work (2ECTS).
