- Theoretical lessons and practices:
The first lectures, the course will be developed. The aim is that the student recognize and understand the concepts upon which the practice of journalistic news is based.
Practices consist of exercise the journalistic approach to recognize the news fact and value components. There will be different types of practices: Preparation of news a few times with news agencies or material delivered by Professor and others, since the initiative of the student's search for the news and access to appropriate sources to develop.
- Inverted Classroom:
This methodology is used in some subjects of the programme, in this way the student has enough material to work on the subject outside the classroom and on the corresponding day that class is used for discussion, exposition and practical exercises.
- Discussion forums:
In some subjects, students are invited to watch a film or documentary and a forum is opened for three weeks so that the students and the teacher can exchange ideas and comment on what the film has suggested to them, always relating it to the contents of the subject itself.
- Presentations by professionals
Throughout the four-month period, a professional journalist will be invited to give a first-hand insight into the practice of the profession and the most sensitive news coverage. For example, gender, migration, mental health or disinformation.
- Tutorial regime
Individual attendance (individual tutorials) or group attendance (group tutorials). The tutoring day is established at the beginning of each term.
