News Reporting Radio Journalism
Objectives
Learning of modulation and intonation techniques in order to optimize the communication over audio minimizing the noise and increasing the intelligibility and appeal to the receiver
Skills and learning outcomes
Description of contents: programme
1) Training the voice for the transmission of pieces of news through the technologies of audiovisual media 2) Placement of the voice 3) Informative and interpretative reading 4) Assessment of the message 5) Considering and implementing the musical effect in the voice 6) Correction of defects of diction and intonation, for proper radio speech 7) Informative speech 8) Other types of speech
Learning activities and methodology
Combination of theoretical lessons on basic principles and techniques of speech on radio (3 ECTS) and practices Practices consist of the performance by the student of speech exercises as part of a radio news production (3 ECTS). Students have to attend at least to the 80% of practical classes in the radio studios at the university
