This course aims to raise awareness of the existing audiovisual heritage in audiovisual information sources in Spain and the world and explain the technical and technological processes for the preservation of this heritage. - Unit 1. Introduction to audiovisual heritage and documentation: media and formats. The significance of preservation. - Unit 2. The film heritage: sources, funds and management - Unit 3. Television and visual heritage: sources, collections and management - Unit 4. The photographic heritage: sources, collections and management - Unit 5. 1. Lectures Basic knowledge of the audiovisual heritage, the problems of preservation of the supports, and the processes of digitalization. Competencies 1, 2 and 3 (1 ECTS). 2.
