Introduction to Communication and Media Studies, Reading Moving Image (Film and Television), Media Psychology.
Objectives
1) Ability to analyse the construction of storytelling. 2) Knowledge of narrative devices and strategies. 3) Familiarisation with the main theories of film narrative and its history. 4) Ability to approach the history of the study of narrative and theory. 5) Ability to appreciate the main narrative devices and their importance.

1. Principles of filmic narration 2. The narrator and the narrative levels 3. The narrative regulation of knowledge 4. The narrative treatment of time 5. The narrative treatment of space
Learning activities and methodology
Lectures: reasoned and interactive presentation of the contents of the program with the support of computer and/or audiovisual media, in which the main concepts of the subject are developed and the materials and bibliography are provided to complement the student's learning. Practical sessions: seminars that include several activities such as: - Essays about several aspects of film narrative applied to a film. - Discussions of theoretical texts and films. - Creative work in groups. - Oral presentations of the assignments. Tutored sessions online or in person. Individualized assistance (individual tutored sessions) or group assistance (group tutored sessions) to students by the faculty.
