Objectives
1. Understand the documental processes using the power of computers and their applications. 2. Understand some fundamental concepts of computer, laying the groundwork for future theoretical and practical courses related to new information technologies. 3. Perform basic configurations of computer systems. 4. Resolve situations that may arise in a computing environment. 5. Apply information technology to real problems. 6. Relate the computer science to other disciplines.

Learning activities and methodology
- Lectures: 3 ECTS. The presentation of the principles of computing is done primarily through lectures. - Problem-based Learning: 0.5 ECTS. Case studies related to computer systems and database environments. - Practical Classes: 1.5 ECTS. Acquire knowledge on computer tools related to the course. - Tutoring: 0.5 ECTS. - Exam: 0.5 ECTS.
