Objectives
After concluding their internships, students will be able to: - Apply the knowledge learned throughout the graduate program to real situations. - Understand how a company is structured. - Identify the strategy of the company and what the drivers of its competitive position are. - Identify which are the main constraints imposed by the business environment to the company. - Work in diverse team. - Propose innovative solutions to problems arising in the development of the activity in which the student participates. - Develop a professional ethics and identify extreme situations. - Communicate the results of the work performed. - Analyze and synthesize large sets of information. - Adapt to multidisciplinary and multicultural teams. - Improve work's organization and planning. - Identify the professional training required to succeed in the business world.
Learning Outcomes
K1: Understand the principles of tourism, its spatial, social, cultural, legal, political, labour and economic dimensions, as well as its dynamic and evolutionary nature and acquire a comprehensive vision of the tourism phenomenon. K2: Understand the relationship between economy and society in a world strongly conditioned by technological progress and climate change, with the aim of developing tourism activities that contribute to sustainability K3: Know the regulatory peculiarities that allow them to foresee the economic consequences that may arise from non-compliance with the corresponding regulations that they will have to face in their professional activity K4: Know the fundamentals of statistical analysis, the use of various sources of information and be able to process and analyse information to reach conclusions (about the market, society, etc.) useful for professional activity K5: Know all the economic concepts necessary for business management at an accounting and financial level (purchases, costs, income, etc.), being able to identify and carry out economic and financial transactions as well as learn to record and manage them ethically respecting the code of ethics that must be complied with by all accountants K6: Know and handle computer applications in organizations dedicated to tourism, as well as the fundamental structures of the marketing of tourism products through new technologies K7: Know different foreign languages at the appropriate level to allow the understanding, expression and application of specific terminology related to tourism in their professional activity S1: Understand and apply technical and methodological knowledge related to tourism to their work in a professional way, with the ability to elaborate and defend effective and appropriate arguments for problem solving within their subject of study S2: Communicate information, ideas, arguments, problems and solutions from any of the disciplines studied related to tourism to both a specialised and non-specialised audience, orally and in writing, in a clear, well-organised, effective, convincing manner, and with the appropriate language. S3: Critically apply new information to problem solving, updating pre-existing knowledge and developing continuous learning skills that allow them to adapt to new challenges and situations with a high level of autonomy. S4: Plan and organize teamwork by making the right decisions based on available information and gathering data in digital environments S6: Propose effective and viable solutions to economic problems based on the identification and critical and systematic analysis of relevant economic information. S7: To offer viable and legally founded solutions to problems specific to the different areas of law (civil, administrative, labour, commercial, etc.) applicable to the field of tourism activities. S8: Apply the knowledge, skills and techniques of the different disciplines associated with tourism, such as Economics, Humanities and Business Administration and Management, to the rigorous study of issues related to tourism activities, using the appropriate terminology and the scientific method S9: Be able to plan and develop business activities at a competitive and corporate level, creating value and improving the competitiveness of tourism companies from a global perspective, integrating diverse cultural values and incorporating international experiences C2: Apply the understanding of the interrelationships between the physical environment and human societies to the management of the activities of organizations in the tourism sector, using geographical criteria to interpret spaces, landscapes and cartography. C3: Develop innovative business projects in the field of tourism that apply creative thinking to identify opportunities and formulate creative ideas that respond to the challenges of today's societies. C4: Plan and execute policies and business initiatives that contribute to solving complex problems in the tourism field, collecting, processing and interpreting relevant information, identifying the peculiarities of national and international markets, effectively managing available resources, and using information and communication technologies (ICT) to implement sustainable and quality practices. C6: Design and manage innovative and sustainable tourism products, services and activities, using information and communication technologies to guarantee quality processes, implement continuous improvement policies and optimise customer service, respecting the environment and promoting responsible practices. C7: To design and implement, in the professional field, tourism offers based on the enhancement of cultural and natural heritage, the promotion of sustainability and the critical consideration of cultural modalities and representations linked to tourism (scientific, literary, artistic, cinematographic, advertising, among others).

Learning activities and methodology
For acquiring the skills and abilities listed above, students must: - Contribute, through the tasks assigned by the company, to the work of the department to which the student is assigned. - Prepare a report containing the activities performed in the company - Tutorials with the academic supervisor to assess the progress, adaptation and quality of student's work.
Assessment System
The final grade is determined based on: 1) Report of activities developed by the student (70% of score). In this document will be indicated aspects as: Experience in their practices, tasks performed, the characteristics of the company and the occupied position and business strategy. 2) Evaluation of the work done by the student by the company (30% of score). Responsible for the coordination of the practices in the target company prepare a report on the activity carried out by the student, which will be indicated aspects as personal attitude and motivation of the student; their ability to work in teams; profesional ethics; their ability to propose improvements in the workplace; and ability to communicate orally and in writing their proposals.
