Introduction to Sociology
Objectives
· Analyze and understand the role of organizations in society. · Know the fundamental dimensions of organizations and the types of organizations in contemporary society. · Introduce in the analysis of organizational behaviour. · Understand the problems of organizations. · Understand the relationship between the media and organizations, and its implications.
Learning Outcomes
LEARNING OUTCOMES 2. Apply the knowledge acquired, their understanding and their abilities to solve complex and/or specialized problems in the professional field. BASIC COMPETENCES 1. Students have demonstrated possession and understanding of knowledge in an area of study that builds on the foundation of general secondary education, and is usually at a level that, while relying on advanced textbooks, also includes some aspects that involve knowledge from the cutting edge of their field of study. SPECIFIC COMPETENCES 1. Know the concepts, problems and sociological perspectives and be able to communicate them. 24. Being able to adapt the objectives of sociological research to economic, temporal and human resources. 25.Possess skills in management and organization of people and social networks that participate in collective projects. 26. Possess and apply skills in the development of organizations (advice, design and management of organizations and institutions).

Learning activities and methodology
Theory (4ECTS). Lectures with materials available in Aula Global. Practices (2ECTS). Case studies and presentations.
