- Educative activities will combine lectures, classroom exercises, individual and group work, and reading material. - Theoretical content will be presented in lectures and will be supported by reading material and classroom discussions. Part of the theoretical issues are analyzed through examples, case studies and practical exercises to facilitate the familiarity with the current techniques for social research. - The practical sessions will use data from surveys conducted by the ¿Instituto Nacional de Estadística¿ (INE) and ¿Centro de Investigaciones Sociológicas¿ (CIS), among others. During the course there will be an examination of the tecniques related to the survey, from the design of the questionnaire to the analysis of the data. There will be a use of SPSS software as a basic tool for analysing data.
