Description of contents: programme
This course deals with the causes, consequences, types, and tendencies of violent conflicts in the world, including wars between states, intra-state wars, terrorism, ethnic conflict, revolutions, and state repression. The study of conflict is situated in an intermediate ground between Comparative Politics and the International Relations, combining both national and International. The central question is to understand the reasons why the social order breaks down giving way to violent conflict.
