Objectives
After completing the course the student will be able: - Know specific public management approaches and methods - Understand skills necessary for effective resources management oriented to public values - Practice some managerial techniques and skills commonly used in current public management

1. Public management and management skills. Historical trends, changes, challenges, and tools: an overview. 2. Human resources management in public administrations: key elements. 3. Negotiation and conflict resolution in the public domain. 4. Public leadership, communication, and crisis management. 5. Data governance and AI in public sector. 6. Strategic public management and quality of public services. 7. Public values, transparency and responsibility of public managers.
Learning activities and methodology
- Lectures and case studies in class - Simulation excercices on managerial skills (group) - Presentations, where appropriate, by student teams - Report on public management case
