LEARNING ACTIVITY
Students must prepare an individual paper on a specific area of telecommunications and cybersecurity regulation, applying all the knowledge acquired in the three subjects of the module. This work will involve the analysis of legislation and case law, as well as existing legal scholarship, and must include original and critical contributions.
To this end, at the beginning of the module, the coordinating professor will assign a specific topic to be developed either individually or in groups.
The report shall consist of the legal analysis of a complex issue in the sector, which students must study and explain, indicating at least: what it consists of, its legal framework, its legal implications and problematic aspects, and their proposed solutions, recommendations, or opinions.
TEACHING METHODOLOGIES
Students will be assigned a topic in advance so that, individually or in groups, and under the supervision of the professor, they may conduct an in-depth study.
They will receive a list of general references and links to the library to guide them in preparing the report and help them acquire skills useful for their Master¿s Thesis.
Students must focus their report on the assigned topic, working with existing national, regional or local regulations, case law (national, European, etc.), and/or comparative legal and jurisprudential information.
On the submission date, a class presentation and discussion will take place, moderated by the professor, based on the report and including questions and topics related to the content presented.
TUTORIALS
Students will have access to tutorials with the person responsible for coordinating the course throughout the Telecommunications and Cybersecurity Regulation module.
They will also meet with the course coordinator to resolve questions and clarify the scope of the report, bibliography, objectives, etc.
The tutorials aim to organize the teaching and learning processes, based on the interaction between student and professor, with the goal of:
(i) Guiding the students¿ individual and group work.
(ii) Exploring various aspects of the subject in greater depth.
(iii) Supporting the academic and overall development of the student.
