Objectives
Upon the successful consecution of the course, the student will be able to: - Know the main tools and specialized methodologies in mechanical engineering design, as well as advanced manufacturing technologies oriented to biomechanics. - Apply the advanced methods in design and manufacturing in biomechanical engineering and do verification tests including the use of advances computer calculations programs. - Do mechanical design CAD/CAM/CAE of interactive systems with the human body, from a muskuloskeletal perspective attending to biomechanical criteria, including finite element simulations.

- Computer-Aided Design oriented to the clinical practice from anatomical data (scan, 3D image), generative design, and Artificial Intelligence in design - Finite Element simulations of biological structures and implantable part. - Advanced manufacturing techniques a) 3D printing in biomechanics b) Combination of subtractive and additive manufacturing technologies c) Rugosity and surface analysis - Topological optimization in biomechanical design
