Objectives
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to: Understand and apply the fundamental concepts of user research and its role in User Experience (UX) design. Identify and select the most appropriate UX research methods for each phase of the design process, recognising their advantages, disadvantages and possible biases. Plan, design and execute user studies, including creating scripts, recruiting participants and conducting interviews. Analyse and synthesise research data to identify user needs, motivations and weaknesses. Create user-centred design tools such as personas, user stories and user journey maps. Formulate clear problem statements and value propositions based on research. Incorporate accessibility principles from the early stages of UX research. Conduct competitive analysis to inform design decisions.
