Objectives
- Analysis of the construction of identity and social imaginaries in the audiovisual media - Competences on analysis textual analysis of film - Critical analysis of audiovisual discourses
Skills and learning outcomes
Description of contents: programme
- Presentation of the subject, theoretical framework, methodology. - The study of identity. - The end of modernity and the crisis of the subject. Analysis of cases in the audiovisual landscape. - How to analyze an audiovisual text (I and II). - Spaces and identities. - Identity, memory and history. - The individual versus the system. Bureaucratic castles. - What makes us human? Identity in the technological context. The course programme may be subject to variations due to duly justified force majeure or due to academic events communicated in advance.
Learning activities and methodology
-Exercise of analytical skills applied to the analysis of cinema and television. -Textual analysis through oral presentations. -Explanation and application of the methodology in practical sessions. -Individual and group tutorials.
