Learning activities and methodology
Combination of theoretical teachings (1.5 ECTS) and practical cases (1.5 ECTS). The theoretical teachings will be oriented in a dual manner: through lectures and conceptual work by the students based on the guidelines provided in the lectures and the conceptual repertoires conveyed. This conceptual work entails the development and public presentation, followed by a debate, of a research paper on a phenomenon related to mass media. The practical cases will consist of the cumulative development of a collective scientific research project, adhering to the theoretical guidelines discussed and learned in the theoretical class. The selective use of Artificial Intelligence tools is permitted in this course. The professor may provide a list of assignments and exercises that students can complete using AI tools, specifying how they should be used and how the student should describe their usage. If a student's use of AI leads to academic fraud by falsifying the results of an exam or required work to accredit academic performance, the provisions outlined in the Regulations of the University Carlos III of Madrid for the partial development of Law 3/2022, of February 24, on university coexistence, will be applied.
