The allocation of work placements will be based on the roles offered by host organizations, the professional profiles of students, and their grades in the first semester.
Objectives
This module will contribute to achieving the following course learning objectives: - Capacity to apply the knowledge and competences acquired in the program in a professional setting, elaborating and sustaining arguments and solving problems linked to the course's field of study. - Capacity to gather and analyse relevant data in order to support judgments involving personal reflections on relevant social, scientific, or ethical issues.
Skills and learning outcomes
Description of contents: programme
Activities undertaken by students in businesses, government agencies, and other organizations, aimed at providing a practical complement to student's academic background. Such activities will be aligned with the course contents and potential career paths (including entrepreneurial venturing).
Learning activities and methodology
Students will work independently. They will develop their activities, which may involve writing individual or collective reports, in collaboration with the host organization. At the end of the placement, students will write and submit an individual report detailiing and evaluating the tasks they have completed throughout their placement, along with the learning outcomes achieved. Professional placements will take place under the supervision of both an academic tutor appointed by the university, and a supervisor in the host organization.
