Objectives

To present the student with a range of technical seminars related to space engineering given by internal and external guests of the university, generally from the professional field (eg SENER, DEIMOS, GMV...) but also from research centers (eg INTA) and/or international organizations (eg ESA).

The evaluation is continuous as the hours of seminars attended during the two years of the MISE will be recognized. 

Participation must be face-to-face, except when explicitly indicated in the announcement of the seminar through AulaGlobal (and in these cases, the student must send an email to the course coordinator summarizing the topic of the seminar in his/her own words within two days of the end of the seminar).

External face-to-face courses will be recognized, as long as they are given by other universities and/or organizations of recognized prestige (for example, ESA Academy courses). In order for these courses to be recognized, an official certificate must be provided by the organization that has given the course, indicating the syllabus, number of hours, and that the student participated. This certificate must be provided to the course coordinator within 15 days of the end of the course. 

As an indication, to pass this course you must complete 30 hours of seminars (and to obtain a 9.0, 50 hours).

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are the blueprint for a sustainable future for all. The United Nations (UN) has established 17 SDGs (https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/es/sustainable-development-goals/) that cover everything from ending poverty (Obj1) to industry, innovation and infrastructure (Obj9) or partnerships to achieve the goals (Obj17). 

In this course, students must attend at least 2 (and a maximum of 4) webinars of 1 hour each related to the SDGs and make a 3-page summary presenting their understanding of the 17 SDGs, commenting on the webinars attended and describing how the knowledge of the MISE could be used to improve at least one of the objectives. The webinars will be free to choose, but at least 1 must be in the Obj9 and another to be chosen between the Obj8-Obj13-Obj4, and the last two of free choice among the rest of the objectives.

Obj9 - industry, innovation and infrastructure: increase scientific research and improve the technological capacity of industrial sectors, significantly increase access to information and communication technology... 

Obj8 - Decent Work and Economic Growth: Technological Modernization and Innovation, Creation of Decent Jobs, Entrepreneurship... 

Obj13 - Climate Action: Promote mechanisms to increase capacity for effective planning and management in relation to climate change 

Obj4 - quality education: increasing the number of young people and adults who have the necessary skills, in particular technical and vocational skills.
