Objectives

Ability to understand the direct and indirect effects of climate change on the urban situation. Ability to analyze the transversal impacts of urban sustainability. Ability to understand the specific instruments of public policies to confront the challenges of urban sustainability.

Description of contents: programme

-Demographic growth and urban development. -Models of urban growth. -Urban development, sustainable production and consumption of energy and climate change. -Water resources, sanitation systems and electricity provision. -Transport and communication networks. -Urban degradation, slums expansion and urban standards of living. -Urban governance.
