The Research Project that students must prepare in the second four-month period of the Master's Degree is a compulsory subject of 6 ECTS. Students must carry out an individual project in which they demonstrate the knowledge, skills and competences acquired during the first four-month period of the Master's degree. The work must be their own, original and unpublished, which excludes work that substantially coincides with work already assessed in other subjects. Each student enrolled in the Research Project will have a tutor, who will be one of the lecturers responsible for the courses in the first term or other specialists in the subject with the degree of doctor with links to the University. This tutor will provide the necessary information and advice to the student to pass the subject through tutorials or individual guidance sessions, providing indications on the structure and form of the Research Project in accordance with the characteristics of the chosen Public Law discipline. As a general rule, the academic work to be developed will have an approximate length of 30-50 pages (although this is a guideline, so the student and the tutor can justifiably agree on a different length), which must be defended in 15 minutes (+15 minutes of debate) before a Tribunal composed of members of the Management and the Academic Committee of the Master's Degree. The research work and the TFM must deal with subjects corresponding to areas of knowledge other than those of the Departments promoting the Master's Degree and tutored, in turn, by doctors from different areas. In order to supervise compliance with these rules, the topic and tutor proposed by the student will be subject to approval by the programme management prior to the start of the research.
