Through the successful completion of this course, students will be able to understand the structural and administrative organization of all departments within a hospital center. In addition, they will acquire the necessary knowledge to analyze the influence of the economic environment in the healthcare field and gain the ability to develop economic-financial models in this context. They will also acquire knowledge of existing management models, the different healthcare systems, as well as new care models arising from changes in the supply and demand of healthcare services. Furthermore, they will become familiar with the various mechanisms for evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of a healthcare system and how managerial and leadership functions are carried out.

- Understand the evolution of the Spanish healthcare system with an emphasis on: the different management models of health services and the direction in which healthcare provision is heading.
- Understand the different ways of evaluating system efficiency and effectiveness.
- Understand management and leadership tools in public administrations.
