The course is programmed so that the students know in depth the main sacred texts of the three great monotheistic religions (Jewish Bible, Talmud, Christian Bible and Koran), which constitute the most significant part of the religions that will be studied in the Master. The knowledge and the critical apparatus necessary to interpret and evaluate each of these texts will be provided: character of the texts, genesis, historical context, authorship. The reading of some of the key texts of Anthropology and Sociology of Religions, as well as key themes in the comparative history of religions, will also be addressed.
