To provide students with tools of analysis and enough knowledge to be able to understand the history of human rights and to perform academic research in the field. A review about the main models in the rising up of human rights, as well as the different processes of their evolution and the different challenges that they have represented for the political and legal configuration of the rule of law will be done.

The methodology is based on the critical vocation of this approach to history. For that, students must study previously to in-person classes the different texts uploaded in Aula Global. The final essay will express their own approach based on the classes and the study of the texts. Tutorials are oriented to help students to prepare individually their final essay. Assistance to seminars and workshops organized as formative complement will be recommended when the teacher consider that it is useful for the learning process of the subject.
