The course is divided into theoretical and practical lectures. On the one hand, the theoretical lessons will be focused on explaining the course content and working with different historical sources related to the theory. On the other hand, the practical ones will be centered on analyzing different types of sources (texts, paintings, audiovisual¿) as well as on working on the different phases of an audiovisual research report.
ENGLISH GROUP
The course is developed through theoretical and practical lecturess. In both cases, student attendance is a fundamental requirement.
In the theoretical sessions, theoretical aspects of the different units will be studied and assessed through quizzes. The theoretical contents will be based on chapters and articles, whose references will be listed on aulaglobal.
The practical sessions will be divided into:
1. Quizzes on text readings, analysis and debates. Students are expected to read the materials for the practical lectures. These readings can be found on aulaglobal.
The quizzes on the readings will be done during class time through aulaglobal. These quizzes are characterized by a time limit and ordered sequentially (you cannot go backwards). In case of non attendance, the student must present an official certificate (medical or from an official institution) in order to be rescheduled.
2. Transmedia historical project about an event. This project will be developed throughout the semester. From a list of events, students will have to choose one of them and develop a transmedia product composed of a website, a twitter channel, a guided tour, a podcast and a virtual exhibition.
Alternatively, the final exam will represent 100% of the grade for all those students who choose not to take part in the previous continuous assessment system.
Students can opt for weekly, face-to-face or online tutorials. Prior appointment is required.
