1.- Introduction to environmental law: concept and contents; sources; allocation of powers in environmental protection. 2.- The principles of Environmental Law. Its relevance in the domain of industry regulation. 3.- The main techniques for environmental protection, as applied to regulated economic sectors: EIA, IPPC, environmental liability, market based instruments. 4.- Cases preparation and in-class discussions: - EIA of an energy production project - Integrated permit for energy installation - Debates over specific problems and issues - Case discussions

- Regular, lecturing sessions. - Case - preparation and in-class discussions - team works - analysis of readings distributed beforehand and in-classs discussions.. Use of Artificial Intelligence tools selectively allowed in this subject. The faculty may indicate a list of works and exercises that the student can perform using AI tools, specifying how they should be used, and how the student should describe the use made of them.
