The Master's Thesis is a subject consisting of a research project, original and unpublished, on a specific topic written in Spanish under the supervision of a lecturer and its public presentation before a panel where the main results obtained in the research will be defended.
There are two ways of preparing the Master's Thesis: i) a professional modality to which a response must be given to a complex practical case related to subjects that have been the object of study in the Master's degree. ii) an academic modality in which a legal problem or analysis of a subject or question related to one of the subjects of the Master's Degree must be presented. Within this second academic modality, students may develop their Master's Final Project in accordance with the general academic modality, based on the general topics proposed by the subject coordinator, or in accordance with the specific academic modality where the student proposes, by him/herself, a specific topic previously agreed by the student with a tutor who, however, must be authorised by the subject coordinator.
Each student enrolled in the Master's Thesis, regardless of the modality chosen, professional or academic, will have a tutor, who will be one of the coordinators or lecturers participating in one of the subjects of the Master's Degree. In the case of the specific professional or academic modality, the tutor may be an accredited professional with sufficient experience despite not having a PhD degree.
