Introduction: the characteristic elements of violence 1. An attempt of definition and characterization of violence 2. Basic characters of violence as a general social phenomenon 3. Assessment System

% of continuous assessment (assigments, laboratory, practicals...) 40

The final grade of the ordinary evaluation consists of a weighted average between the grade of the continuous evaluation (40%) and the final exam (60%).

- Continuous evaluation (40%): in which the work, presentations, performance in debates, presentations in class, exercises, practices and work in the workshops throughout the course will be valued.
- Final exam (60%): exam with questions to be developed in which the knowledge, skills and abilities acquired throughout the course will be globally assessed. In some cases, to be discussed in class, the final exam may be replaced, at the choice of each student, by a final paper to be handed in, at the latest, on the same date of the exam.

The extraordinary evaluation consists of an exam with the same format as the ordinary evaluation, to be taken during the extraordinary evaluation period. The student has the right to keep his/her grade of the continuous evaluation, unless he/she has not followed it, in which case the extraordinary exam will count 100% of the final grade.
